National and International Days

Well this month is a very big month indeed. Lots of international and national days or weeks to celebrate or remember. Here is a few I know about….

World Maritime Day

National chicken month
National honey month
National rice month
Organic harvest month
National singles week
Constitution week
National dog week
Hispanic heritage month

I am sure a search of the web will reveal more. If you know of more, write and let me know. I got to wondering… what is the purpose of all these national and international days?

Learn more about your world
Learn what is important to others so you can become more tolerant and accepting
Encourage you to give support to their cause
Help your kids grow in awareness of some of these things
Give attention to some things in your life you make not think about rectifying or preparing for otherwise
Have some fun!

Lots of good reasons why you should celebrate or at least learn about them. I'm going to have a go..Will you?
